Introduction

HomeWattly ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our electricity cost calculator and website.

Information Collection

Calculator Data

Our electricity cost calculator runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. When you enter information into the calculator (appliance wattage, usage hours, electricity rate):

• This data is not sent to any server
• This data is not stored by us
• This data is not shared with third parties
• All calculations happen locally in your browser
• Data is held only in your browser's memory while you use the calculator and is cleared when you close the page or browser

Website Usage Data

We do not collect analytics, tracking, or usage data of any kind.

Cookies and Local Storage

HomeWattly does not currently use cookies or browser local storage. If cookies or similar technologies are ever introduced, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, consent will be requested.

Third-Party Services

HomeWattly is a standalone static site with no third-party integrations, embedded widgets, or external services. If third-party services are ever added, this policy will be updated to describe their data handling practices.

Advertising

HomeWattly does not currently display advertisements. If advertising is added in the future, this policy will be updated to identify the advertising partners and explain how they may use cookies or similar technologies, and a consent mechanism will be provided where required by law.

Data Security

Because we do not collect or store personal information, there is minimal data security risk. The website is intended to be served over HTTPS.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information under laws such as GDPR (Europe) or CCPA (California), including the right to access or request deletion of personal data. Since we do not currently collect personal data, these rights have no practical effect at this time; they will be honored if data collection is ever implemented.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The calculator is an educational tool that can be used by anyone.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this privacy policy if we add features that collect data, integrate third-party services, or if privacy laws require changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent changes.
